Half & Half Knit Ruffle Scarf
Half & Half Knit Ruffle Scarf
These ruffle scarves were inspired by high Victorian lace collars - but knitted to keep you warm through the cold season, and in a variety of colors and yarn types to match any wardrobe!
This scarf has navy blue yarn throughout, while on one half it mixes with silver yarn, and on the other half it mixes with pink yarn. In between, it has a stripe of thick black and red yarn, providing a bit of extra structure in the back (or front, depending on how you wear it!). The ruffles at top and bottom are trimmed with a thinner red yarn.
This is part of my discounted inventory, meaning it has some small imperfections, and the price has been lowered to reflect that. This scarf gave me the opportunity to use some scrap yarns, allowing me to reduce waste in my craft room! Additionally, the navy blue yarn is secondhand, and came in multiple pieces that I joined to make this scarf. The tail ends at the joins may come untucked over time; though this won't affect the durability of the scarf itself, if you don't like the way it looks you can always trim the ends down or use a tapestry needle to re-tuck them into the knit.
Features:
- Hidden hook and eye closure for easy wear
- Scarf is 18 1/8" long from end to end, and 6 1/2" tall including top and bottom ruffle
- Can be styled in a variety of different ways (scroll through photos for some ideas)
- Likely mostly acrylic yarn; the pink and silver yarns are majority acrylic with a small amount of wool*
Care and feeding: hand wash in cool water with gentle soap, lay flat to dry. Full care instructions will be included with your order.
* I receive a lot of my yarn secondhand, so although I will do my best to disclose fiber content for all my knit products, I often don't know exactly what a given yarn is made of. Please keep this in mind when purchasing, and take caution if you have any sensitivities to certain fibers.
Please reach out if you'd like me to gift wrap your order!
