Purple Blooms Knit Ruffle Scarf
Purple Blooms Knit Ruffle Scarf
These ruffle scarves were inspired by high Victorian lace collars - but knitted to keep you warm through the cold season, and in a variety of colors and yarn types to match any wardrobe!
The main body of this scarf features a multi-tonal purple yarn contrasting with a thinner grass-green yarn. The last inch or so of the scarf, plus the trim on the ruffles, uses a slightly darker, more textured green yarn, and the ruffles themselves are a solid purple. This allowed me to use up some scrap yarns, while maintaining the overall aesthetic of the scarf!
These yarns are secondhand, and came in multiple pieces that I joined to make this scarf. The tail ends at the joins may come untucked over time; though this won't affect the durability of the scarf itself, if you don't like the way it looks you can always trim the ends down or use a tapestry needle to re-tuck them into the knit.
Features:
- Hidden hook and eye closure for easy wear
- Scarf is 18 1/4" long end to end, and 6" tall, including top and bottom ruffle
- Can be styled in a variety of different ways (scroll through photos for some ideas)
- Likely mostly synthetic yarn, except for the darker green, which may be hemp.*
Care and feeding: hand wash in cool water with gentle soap, lay flat to dry. Full care instructions will be included with your order.
* I receive a lot of my yarn secondhand, so although I will do my best to disclose fiber content for all my knit products, I often don't know exactly what a given yarn is made of. Please keep this in mind when purchasing, and take caution if you have any sensitivities to certain fibers.
Please reach out if you'd like me to gift wrap your order!
